Harmon Tree Farm and Christmas House, LLC is located on Highway 1 in Gilbert, SC.

South Carolina families have enjoyed the farm's holiday sights and sounds since 1914.

You can climb aboard the Christmas Train Express for a tour through the 75 acre farm.

The farm is full of thousands of trees.

The varieties include the Leland Cyprus, Virginia Pine and cedar.

Stephanie Hammond is the advertising and marketing coordinator for Harmon.

She says many people consider cedars as the classic Christmas trees.

The trees are trimmed at least two to three times a year to create their perfect cone shape.

To enhance their rich, green color, the trees are spray-painted with green fertilizer that helps them grow, and accentuates the green color.

When you spot your perfect tree, the Christmas Express stops.

The tree is chopped down, and it's yours to take home.

The holiday season lasts all year long at The Christmas House.

"We have a lot of the Dept. 56 collectibles, we have the Byers Carolers, seraphim angels, we have nativity sets, ornaments galore, stockings, Yankee Candles,” Hammond said.

“You name it, it's probably in this place."

A fun way to conclude the day is at the Barn with a hot cup of homemade apple cider and hot chocolate with marshmallows.
