PREP ROUNDUP: Late field goal lifts Hartsville to win

Hartsville converted an 11-yard pass on fourth and 10 to set up Williamson’s game-winner.

The Red Foxes (7-1, 3-0 Region 6-3A) got a 41-yard touchdown pass from Shaquille Johnson to Trey Gattison in the second quarter to take a 7-0 lead.

Crestwood tied it on Willie Glover’s 2-yard run in the third quarter.

 

Dillon 49, Marion 0

 

MARION — Kwinton Smith caught a pair of touchdown passes and Dillon’s defense held Marion to 86 yards, tying a single-season school record with its seventh shutout.

Jabo Lee carried nine times for 89 yards to lead the Wildcats on the ground, and Thomas Grossetti completed seven of 11 passes for 144 yards and three touchdowns.

BENNETTSVILLE — Delvin McRae had two touchdown runs, including a 1-yarder with 1:40 left in the game to help the Bulldogs to the victory.

Quarterback London Johnson led the Bulldogs on the game-winning drive and hit Malik Ford on a 25-yard pass to the 1-yard line. McRae came in at the goaline for the game-winning score.

Ford had a punt return for a touchdown, and Jamal Stanton returned a kick for a TD.

Wilson 27, North Myrtle Beach 10

 

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH — The Tigers scored 27 unanswered points in the second half for their second straight region victory.

GaQuan Maize-Galbreath ran for 113 yards and two touchdowns for Wilson, which won its second straight game. Braxton Ivery had three catches for 76 yards and two TDs.

Wilson’s defense allowed the Chiefs just one first down in the second half.
