LITTLE RIVER, SC -- The Grand Strand's ABA start-up team will have a new place to play home games. The South Carolina Warriors announce they will play the remaining home games at the North Strand Recreational Center off of Highway 57 in Little River.
"We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our fans," general manager Tony Bennett said in a press release. "All of our sponsor and season ticket holders will be contacted personally by the team."
The North Strand Rec center is where the Warriors practice. The first two games of the season, both which the Warriors won, were played at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Games were also scheduled to be played at Socastee High School before the new venue was announced.
All game times will be at 7 p.m. for future games.
The South Carolina Warriors also said there ownership changed hands prior to the season. The franchis also wants to establish a board of directors with local businessmen and women.
The Warriors next home game is December 3rd.
