LA QUINTA, CA – Murrells Inlet resident and former Coastal Carolina golfer Zack Byrd fell short of his goal to make the PGA Tour.
Byrd shot a 1-over 73 to finish his six-rounds at five-over par to finish tied for 115th. Only the top 25 plus ties (9-under par) of the 160-person field earned the coveted card.
The former Coastal Carolina golfer shot rounds of 72-74-73-77-68-73 in his six rounds of final stage Q-school.
With Byrd’s finish, he earns conditional status next year on the Nationwide Tour.
