WILMINGTON, DE (WBTW) – Myrtle Beach’s offensive awakens on Tuesday putting up six runs, matching their runs total from their previous five games, on way to a 6-2 win over Wilmington on Tuesday night.
Pelicans starter Justin Grimm threw six innings of one-run ball, striking out eight Blue Rocks batters. After allowing a 3rd inning solo home run, Grimm retired the next 11 batters he faced.
Pelicans outfielder Jared Prince went 3-5 to raise his batting average to .278.
Shortstop Leury Garcia was activated from the disabled list from a shoulder injury and went 0-6.
