Former Coastal Carolina soccer star Cyprian Hedrick has signed a contract with Major League Soccer club Sporting Kansas City, the club announced Wednesday.
Sporting Kansas City picked Hedrick with the 11th pick in the second round of the MLS SuperDraft in January. Hedrick is the fourth Chanticleer to be selected in the SuperDraft, seventh overall including supplemental picks.
Hedrick led Coastal Carolina to an 18-4 record, a Big South Conference title and a victory over Elon in the NCAA tournament during his senior year in 2011.
