Lake City’s Paul Woodbury tied for first then lost in a playoff to finish tied for second with four-under-par in the NGA Hooters Carolina Winter Tour Series at Brunswick Plantation, Calabash, N.C., Thursday.
Woodbury earned $1,900 for his second-place spot and shot nine birdies and five bogeys in the three rounds finishing with 71, 70, and 71 and an overall average of 1.33-under-par.
Those earnings place Woodbury sixth in the money standings for the series.
The next tour in the series is playing at Aberdeen Country Club in Longs through Thursday.
