The King’s Academy rallied from a two-goal deficit to defeat Cathedral 5-4 and win the SCISA Class A-2A boys soccer championship Saturday.

Trailing 2-0 at halftime, the Lions turned up the offense in the second half and scored five goals. Daniel Miele had three of them, including the game-winner with two minutes left to break the 4-4 tie.

Vic Query added two goals and an assist, while Ben Clements had an assist.

Nic Query stopped nine shots in goal for TKA.

It was TKA’s second state title in four years. The Lions defeated Florence Christian in 2008.
