Patriot golfers in 13th place at Palmetto Intercollegiate

AIKEN — Francis Marion carded rounds of 313 and 309 on at the 13th-annual Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate and the Patriots stand 18th heading into the final 18 holes.

Chattanooga finished the first two rounds of the tournament four strokes ahead of second-place Liberty University, while Furman University is third and Clemson University is fourth.

The Patriots were led by senior Matt Jackson, who shot rounds of 79 and 72 and is tied for 53rd position. Other FMU golfers include freshman Kenneth Svanum (156), freshman Sebastian Backlund
(157), sophomore Ciaran McKenna (162), and freshman Travis Gantt (162).
