Coker softball loses pair in Spartanburg

SPARTANBURG — Coker softball dropped a pair of games at the Mid-South Classic on Saturday.

Coker lost their first game of the day 10-0 to Carson-Newman and then they lost game to 6-2 to East Stroudsburg.

The losses drop the Cobras to 5-6 on the year.

In game one, Carson-Newman held Coker to just two hits, with Brittany Owens hitting a double and Sarah Pricepicking up the Lady Cobras other hit.

Sydney Greenwalt (4-3) took the loss on the mound allowing four runs on four hits in two innings of work.

Against East Stroudsburg, Jaclin Poole lead the offensive attack with two hits, including a two-run home run, while Haleigh Rogers also had two hits for the Cobras.

Jordan Atkinson (1-1) took the loss, allowing six runs on nine hits in 6 1/3 innings.
