As the summer months fade from July into August, excitement begins to build around Mullins High School. The 2010 Auctioneer Football season is ready to begin.
As with each year, we have high expectations and the goal of achieving the ultimate prize. For many years, we have achieved many great feats such as winning region championships and making the playoffs. Of course, we strive to continue that success this year and many years to come.
However, as a true Auctioneer and graduate of Mullins High School, I remember the times of the late 80s and 90s when the bleachers were full, Aucs Pride was seen everywhere and kids were wanting to grow up as Auctioneers. This excitement for the Mullins Auctioneers is what I strive to bring back.
I understand that I cannot do this alone and am seeking your support. I would like to encourage each of you, including parents, guardians, along with community and business leaders to join the Mullins High School Athletic Booster Club. They have been very good to our athletic program and athletes for many years.
As a matter of fact, the Booster Club is sponsoring the “Meet the Aucs” night, which will be held Monday, Aug.2 at 7:30 p.m. I encourage each of you to attend, as you will get to mingle with the players and coaches.
Also, this event will kick off the return of the Mullins Auctioneer football camp, which will be held Aug. 2-5.
