The Lake City Lady Panthers will face Socastee tonight and host Georgetown on Friday after splitting a pair of Region 7-3A games against Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach last week to open up region play.
The Lady Panthers managed only 10 points in the first half against Myrtle Beach on Jan. 12 and were unable to stop the Lady Seahawks’ potent offense on their way to a 69-30 loss. Kourtney McFadden had nine points to lead Lake City scorers.
The Lady Panthers were able to bounce back on Friday with a 49-39 win over North Myrtle Beach. Lake City trailed the Lady Chiefs by two at the half, but came out with a strong third period to take a 35-27 lead going into the fourth quarter.
Chelsey Holmes led Lake City with 17 points, while McFadden added 10.
