PREP ROUNDUP: Thomas' last-second layup gives Panthers region title

LAKE CITYBryce Thomas scored a driving layup with 1.1 seconds remaining to lift Lake City to a 67-66 win Tuesday over St. James and the Region 7-3A championship in boys high school basketball.

The Panthers’ Cory Baker had 19 points to lead all scorers and pulled down 10 rebounds.

Dayshawn Butler added 14 for Lake City.

Marshall McClary led St. James with 18, while Jamal Allston had 13.
