DARLINGTON — With a win over the Titans, Carolina Academy would force a playoff with The King’s Academy for the SCISA Region 4-2A championship.
Instead of playing the role of cannon fodder, Trinity played the role of spoiler. Bridge Jernigan led the Titans with 14 points as the Titans handed TKA the outright region title with a two-point win over the Bobcats, who rallied from an 18-point deficit to force overtime.
The seventh-seeded Titans will meet No. 2 seed The Byrnes Schools on Friday at TKA. Oliver Hubbard finished with 12 points for Trinity. Curtis Pruett scored nine points to top the 1,000 point mark for his career.
As the No.3 seed, Carolina will face Pee Dee Academy on Friday at TKA.
