LAKE CITY — The Lake City Panthers rebounded from a Tuesday night loss to North Myrtle Beach to blow out Socastee 81-36 on Friday and remain on top of Region 7-3A.
The Panthers opened a 16-3 lead in the first quarter and extended their lead to 41-13 at the half. Willis Flowers led Lake City with 15 points, and Shonquez Nelson added 10.
On Tuesday, the Panthers (18-3, 7-1) dropped their first region game of the season 59-57 to North Myrtle Beach. Corey Baker scored a game-high 20 points, while DaShawn Butler chipped in 15.
Lake City traveled to Hemingway in a non-region matchup Saturday night, falling to the Tigers 63-60. Baker scored 19 points for the Panthers, while Bryce Thomas added 14 and Martin Cooper scored 12.
Lake City is scheduled to finish out the regular season after Tuesday night’s home game against St. James and Friday’s game at Georgetown.
