FLORENCE — Senior middle blocker Kendall Eayrs pounded out 13 kills and hit for a .462 percentage to lead Lander University to a three-game sweep of Francis Marion, 25-23, 25-20, 25-23, on Saturday in volleyball action.
Francis Marion drops to 6-7 overall and 1-3 in the Peach Belt, while Lander improves to 11-4 and 4-2.
Sophomore Ashlee Crook led FMU with 14 kills, while sophomore Ashlyn Underhill added seven kills and nine digs. Setters Hallie Legg (17) and Jess O’Leary (16) combined for 33 assists, and junior libero Kelsie Deaton dug up 19 balls.
The Patriots will entertain local PBC-rival UNC Pembroke on Wednesday at 7 p.m. for their annual Sea of Red match.
