Coker men set new school record for best start at 5-0

BREVARD, N.C. — The Coker men’s soccer team improved to 5-0 with a 1-0 win over Brevard College on Sunday in men’s soccer action.

With the win, Coach Paul Leese and the Coker men have successfully set a new record for the best start in school history. Along with the 5-0 record, the Cobras have not allowed a single goal in their last four matches.

Freshman, Alan Cuevas was lone goal scorer, netting his first collegiate goal in the 24th minute of play. The Coker defense then held off the Tornado attack for the next 66 minutes.

James Sweeney improved to 5-0 as the Cobras goalkeeper, including recording his fourth straight shutout in the goal.
