ANDERSON — In a battle of unbeatens on the young season, two second-half goals lifted the Anderson mens soccer team past 18th-ranked Francis Marion, 2-0, on Tuesday.
Anderson (3-0) broke through to get on the scoreboard with two goals in a seven-minute span late in the second frame. Sophomore midfielder Lasse Sohrweide blasted a shot past FMU (2-1) keeper Clark Richeson at the 74:51 mark of the contest, marking Sohrweide’s first game-winner of the season and the seventh of his career as a Trojan.
Zach Denson found the back of the net less than seven minutes after Sohrweide’s score.
