CLEMSON — Clemson coach Larry Penley capped a busy summer by being picked for the South Carolina Golf Hall of Fame.
The school announced Penley’s selection Tuesday. The induction will take place in December at the Columbia Country Club.
Penley, 50, has seen former Tiger Lucas Glover win the U.S. Open this past June. Last weekend, Clemson golfer Ben Martin advanced to the finals at the U.S. Amateur.
Penley has coached the Tigers since the 1983-84 season.
