The Chants head to Kent State on Thursday for their second straight opener against a football bowl subdivision team.
Kent state plays in the MAC and won just four games last year. But CCU Coach David Bennett said both teams are looking for bounce back years in 2009.
CCU is making it a day trip -- flying up early Thursday and leaving after the game.
Bennett made that choice so the players would miss fewer classes, have less down time in Ohio, and save a little cash.
