The Hartsville Red Foxes varsity football team is for a second-round playoff matchup with Northwestern at 7:30 p.m. today.
The winner of tonight’s game faces the victor of the North Augusta (No. 5) at Goose Creek (No. 4) game. If Hartsville was to win, that would be another road game since either potential foe is ranked higher than the Foxes.
The Red Foxes last won state championships in 1981, 1987 and 1988 in the 4A Division II. The team was runner up in 1992, 1993 and 1997.

1. Take Hwy. 521 out of Lancaster towards Rock Hill.
2. At the split in the road bear left onto Hwy. 5/21 to Rock Hill.
3. About 1.5 miles past Bowater Hwy. 5/21 will bear to the right towards Rock Hill.
4. Once you cross I-77, the road will split again. Take the left fork (Hwy. 72).
5. After this split, go to the second light and turn right onto Hwy. 5, Main Street.
6. Stay on Hwy. 5 through the eighth light and take a left on Cherry Road. The stadium is one block on the right.
