Bishopville’s Tommy Gainey is off to a good start in the second stage of PGA Tour Q-school.
Gainey fired a 3-under 68 in the first day at the TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas, and is tied for seventh. Gainey’s round included three birdies and no bogeys.
Elsewhere, former Francis Marion standout Adam Hart fired a 3-under 69 and is tied for 22nd at Calloway Gardens in Stone Mountain, Ga.
Hart had six birdies and three bogeys in his round. Hart’s brother, Luke, fired a 1-over 73 and is tied for 68th.
