COLUMBIA — The Johnsonville volleyball team had another bittersweet end to its season Saturday, losing to Southside Christian 3-1 in the Class A State Championship at White Knoll High School.
The match marked the 11th straight time the Flashes competed for the state title, with their lone victory coming in 1999.
Game scores were 26-24, 19-25, 18-25 and 13-25.

Wilson, Darlington compete in Class 3A state meet
COLUMBIA — The Wilson and Darlington boys, along with the Darlington girls, competed in the Class 3A state meet on Saturday.
Darlington’s Tyler Cooke led the Falcons with an 18:45 time and Josh Rhodes led the Tigers with a time of 19:18.
On the girls side, Jessica Hatchell led the Falcons with a time of 20:18.
