The Lake City Panthers closed the regular season with a 38-0 win over Georgetown and are setting their sights on the first round of the lower state playoffs at Ward Memorial Stadium this Friday night.
Few starters set foot on the field after tearing off a 32-0 lead through one half of football against Georgetown.
Shrine Bowl-bound Sheldon Robinson scored three touchdowns, with one on the ground, one in the air and one on defense.
Shon Carson's limited action still allowed him to reach pay dirt twice to bring his total to 25 touchdowns on the year.
Lake City’s “Blue D” dominated the Georgetown offense while limiting the Dogs to 60 yards.
The Panthers (9-1, 4-1) will play host to the Dolphins of Battery Creek High School in Beaufort during the first round of the South Carolina High School League playoffs. Lake City will be host to the first-round playoffs game for the first time since the 2000 season.
Kickoff at Ward Memorial Stadium is set for 7:30 p.m. Admission is $6.
