SUMTER — Robert E. Lee scored four runs in the first inning and Jordan Atkinson and Jamie Douglas combined to limit Wilson Hall to three hits as Robert E. Lee beat Wilson Hall 6-2 on Monday in a softball game that ended early because of rain.
Atkinson gave up all three in the first three innings. Douglas struck out five in the final three innings, and the Cavaliers tacked on two more runs in the sixth to improve to 32-0.
Meg Randall had an RBI double for Robert E. Lee, which begins play in the state tournament Friday in Lexington.
