PREP SOCCER: The King's Academy shuts out Covenant Central

FLORENCEDaniel Miele knocked home two goals to lead The King’s Academy to a 3-0 win over Covenant Centreal in a first-round SCISA 2A state playoff match that was cut short by lightning with 23 minutes to play Monday.

TKA, the defending SCISA 2A state champion, also got a goal from Seth Billingsley and nine keeper saves from Jimmy Bokelman.

GOALS — TKA: Daniel Miele 2, Seth Billingsley.
ASSISTS — TKA: Weston Deas, Zach Gwin.
SAVES — TKA: Jimmy Bokelman 9.
NEXT MATCH: The King’s Academy will host St. Andrews-Northwood winner on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
