Two Lake City High School baseball players have been selected by the South Carolina Baseball Coaches Association to play in the North/South All-Star game from June 10 to 13 at Coastal Carolina University.

Infielder Reggie Weatherford and centerfielder Shane Miles were selected to play in the all-star game that pits the best players from the lower state against those in the Upstate.

Weatherford led the Panthers with a .506 batting average over 23 games with 16 extra-base hits, including seven home runs, and 34 runs batted in. He also scored 32 runs and stole 15 bases for the Panthers. Weatherford finished the season with a team high .899 slugging percentage.

Miles, who has already signed to play at Charleston Southern University next season, led the Panthers with a .563 on-base percentage and batted .479 on the season with 11 extra-base hits, including four homers, and 26 runs batted in. He also finished second on the team with 18 stolen bases.

Players selected for the North/South All-Star game are nominated by the high school coaches and selected by a panel of high school coaches from around the state.
