PREP TENNIS: Howle, Harrison lead Darlington past South Florence

DARLINGTON — Led by Alex Howle’s win over Brent Harrison at No. 1 singles, Darlington won four of five singles matches and took down South Florence 5-1 on Monday in high school tennis.

Brent Harrison won a 6-0, 6-0 decision at No. 2 singles for Darlington, as well.

Alex Howle (D) def. Austin Hill 6-1, 6-1; Brent Harrison (D) def. Andre Perkins 6-0, 6-0; Marcus Sigmon (D) def. Tripp Perkins 5-7, 6-0, 10-5; Brad Lide (D) def. Quincy Washington 7-6, 7-6; Hiers Rainwater (SF) def. Adam Miles 5-7, 6-3, 11-9.
DOUBLES
Steven Delaine and William Jordon (D) def. Frankie Davis and Lee Hubbard 6-7, 6-1, 10-4.

Marion 5, Mullins 2

MULLINS — Marion got singles wins from James Martin, Eric Bryant, Jovi Pulukari and Matt Williams.

Mullins’ Robert Floyd defeated C.J. Moody 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 singles and teamed with Cory Pulley for a doubles win.
