SUMTER — Morgan Mixon’s RBI single in the seventh helped the Gamecocks rally past the Red Foxes.
Sumter trailed 1-0 going into the seventh but tied the game on Emily Whetsel’s RBI single. Erin Cook followed by walking to load the bases to set the stage for Mixon’s game-winning hit.
Michael Gainey had an RBI triple for the Red Foxes.
