COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- South Carolina guard Devan Downey has been named to the Southeastern Conference coaches first team while Brandis Raley-Ross has been named the league's Sixth Man of the Year.

The postseason award voting of SEC coaches was announced Tuesday.

Downey was also named to the league's all defensive team. Forward Dominique Archie and guard Zam Fredrick were picked for the SEC's second team. Archie was a defensive team member, too.

For Downey, it's the second straight season he's earned first-team honors. Downey is third in the SEC in scoring with 20.2 points a game.

The Gamecocks (21-8, 10-6) are co-champions of the SEC Eastern Division. They start play Friday in the SEC tournament against either Georgia or Mississippi State.
