Sessions gets qualifying offer from Bucks

»  Comments | Post a Comment

The Milwaukee Bucks have made qualifying offers to Myrtle Beach native Ramon Sessions, but will not make an offer to Charlie Villanueva.

Bucks general manager John Hammond said Monday the offers to Sessions gives him the right to match contract offers from other teams. Sessions averaged over 14 points and 5 assists for Milwaukee this past season. Milwaukee has another point guard on the roster (Luke Ridnour) and drafted a point guard with the 10th overall pick in the draft (Brandon Jennings).

Villanueva will be free to sign with any team. The Bucks also made an offer to Ersan Ilyasova.

NBA teams have until Tuesday to make qualifying offers to their restricted free agents. Hammond says he did not want to elaborate on the reasons for the decisions.
