FLORENCE — Charlie Abbott and Oneal Kennedy each knocked in two runs and Robbie Brown turned in six strong innings to help Florence beat Lake City 11-4 on Friday in American Legion baseball.
Post 1 clinches a playoff berth with the win and has a 5 1/2 game lead in League II.
Brown (4-0) allowed all four Lake City runs, although just one was earned, gave up four hits, struck out seven and walked four.
Florence got all the runs it needed with a six-run first inning.
Reggie Weatherford had a two-run home run for Lake City.
Florence hosts Georgetown at 7 p.m. Monday.
