»  Comments | Post a Comment

The stars were out at Watson Stadium at CCU on Friday night. The remaining South Carolina baseball stars not playing in the Select game were divvied up for the North/South All-Star Games. Team South won the Class AA/AAA game 1-0, while Team North won the Class A/AAAA game 8-4.

In the Class AA/AAA game, Lake City product Reggie Weatherford drove in Socastee native Ayres Renfrow in the top of the sixth with an RBI groundout. That turned out to be the deciding run.

The games continue on Saturday at CCU. The losers of Friday's games will play at 11AM, the winners will play about an hour after the first game is over.
