LAKE CITY — Spencer Jordan pitched a complete-game two-hitter as Florence Post 1 defeated Lake City 3-1 in legion baseball Monday night.
Jordan, who allowed a run in the first inning, pitched eight shutout innings after that in picking up the victory. He struck out 12 and didn’t walk a batter.
“He kept us in the game,” Post 1 coach Derick Urquhart said. “Spencer did an outstanding job, kept his pitch count down and did a good job finishing up.”
Michael Wilson and Cody Ritch each hit solo homers for Florence.
Post 1 will travel to Georgetown today. The game will be played at Waccamaw High School at 7 p.m.
