FLORENCE — Post 1 hit three home runs and beat Conway 10-0 in a run-ruled game Tuesday night at Legion Field.
The season opener for both teams also saw Florence starting pitcher Robbie Brown turn in a solid performance, allowing just five hits in six innings of shutout ball.
Chandler Smetana and Spencer Jordan each hit two-run home runs and Phillip Herring added a solo shot to pace Florence’s 12-hit attack.
Herring, Smetana and Dustin Britt each had two hits for Florence, which plays Manning at old Manning High School in a non-league game at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
Tripp Faulk was 2-for-3 with a double for Conway.
Florence got to Conway starter Jarrett Hooks in the third for three runs, and chased him in the sixth.
Hooks was responsible for nine runs — seven earned — and struck out three.
