FLORENCE — D’Juan Scudder had two hits and drove in two runs and Maple Park held off a late Pineview rally to claim an 8-6 win on the second day of the Dixie Youth Baseball Minors state tournament on Sunday at Freedom Florence.
Right-hander Tyler Davis pitched a complete game for Maple Park, striking out seven. He also singled and scored a run. Jack Pawloski hit a solo home run.
Pineview rallied from an 8-1 deficit by scoring five runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. Stephen Kight capped the inning with a three-run homer. Kight also had a single, Ryan Harbin was 2-for-3 with an RBI. Jacob Jeffcoat was the losing pitcher.
Dillon 6, Rock Hill National 4
Thadeaus Barnes hit a two-run double to snap a 4-4 deadlock and give Dillon a win over Rock Hill National.
Dillon trailed 4-3 entering the top of the sixth and final inning and scored three runs, capped by Barnes’ hit. Nicholas Smith, the winning pitcher, drove in the tying run with a single to right field.
Ray McGirt and Connor Anderson both had two hits for Dillon.
Wes Bostic had three hits and an RBI for Rock Hill National, while Daniel Lipe had two hits and scored twice. Tyler Morgan was the losing pitcher.
Seneca 8, Bishopville 6
Seneca built an early 7-1 lead and held off a late Bishopville rally to claim a win in an elimination game.
Joseph Edgar drove in two runs for Seneca with a single and a groundout. Jonathan Ridley, the winning pitcher, reached base three times and scored once.
Bishopville rallied for three runs in its final at bat to trim the margin to 8-6 and got the potential tying run to the plate. Bryce Barrett had two hits, reached base three times, and drove in one run. Dawson

Gregg Park 7, Hilton Head American 3
Gregg Park rallied from a 3-1 deficit by scoring six times in the bottom of the fifth inning to down Hilton Head American in an elimination game.
Gregg Park erupted for two singles, two triples and two homers in the rally. Maddy Hammons drilled a two-run triple followed by back-to-back home runs by Austin Batchelor and Nick Clary. Clary was the
winning pitcher while Batchelor recorded the final out, stranding the bases loaded, to earn a save.
Cameron Paradise, Zac Johnson, and Hammons all had two hits for Gregg Park.
Tracy Julian stroked a two-run triple and a single for Hilton Head American. Cameron Blackshear was the losing pitcher.
Sumter American 9, Mid Carolina 7
Jordan Holladay drilled a tie-breaking solo home run and Caleb Larrimore later scored on a passed ball to lift Sumter American to a win over Mid Carolina.
Holladay scored three times, while Ryan Touchberry had an RBI double. Reliever McLendon Sears was the winning pitcher, striking out five in three innings.
Cade Ruff had two hits and an RBI for Mid Carolina while Preston Farmer had two hits and Will Lever drilled a three-run double. Jhi Wright was the losing pitcher.
Midland 13, Lake Marion 5
Midland overcame a 5-1 deficit after two innings by scoring the game’s final 12 runs in a win over Lake Marion.
Midland’s Tyler Baker highlighted a five-run third inning with a two-run homer while Austin Price hit a two-run shot in the sixth inning.
Ryan McElveen went 3-for-5 with an RBI for Midland while Conor Crouch was 3-for-4 with two RBI. Grant Petrey was the winning pitcher while relievers Crouch and Hunter Logan retired the final 12 Lake
Marion batters in order.
Wyatt Rucker hit a two-run homer in the first inning for Lake Marion while Jackson Fleming had a two-run single in the second frame. Josh Long was the losing pitcher.

Hartsville National 10 , Maple Park 0
Worth Burch drove in five runs with a triple and a home run and three Hartsville National pitchers limited Maple Park to one hit in a shutout victory.
Skylar Stokes also had a pair of hits and drove in two runs for Hartsville National. Right-hander Christopher Weekley got the win for Hartsville National.
Matthew Thomas collected Maple Park’s lone hit. Righty Adam Hill was the losing pitcher.
McLeod Park 14, Walhalla 2
Austin Drummond rapped out four hits, scored three times and drove in five runs to lead McLeod Park to a victory over Walhalla in an elimination game.
Drummond’s three-run homer capped a wild 12-run fifth inning for McLeod Park that snapped a 2-2 tie. Bowman Hiller had two hits and two RBI for McLeod Park while Reid Sturgeon had two hits. Reliever

John Moorfield collected three hits, a triple shy of the cycle, and drove in four runs to lead York Central to a win over Hampton/Varnville in an elimination game.
York Central broke a 3-3 deadlock with four runs in the bottom of the third inning. Luc Greene stroked a two-run single and Moorfield ripped a two-run homer in that decisive frame.
Hunter Horne was the winning pitcher, striking out 13 while Hiren Reshamwala was the losing pitcher.
Matthew Padgett homered and had three hits for Hampton/Varnville. Mitchell Bridgers, Logan Peters, and Justin Terry all had two hits.
Laurens 4 , Parks Field American 3 (7)
Jamarius Mack drew a bases-loaded walk with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning to force in the winning run and give Laurens a come-from-behind win over Parks Field American in an elimination game.
Laurens trailed 3-0 entering the fifth inning, but scored three times, highlighted by a two-run single by Qua Parks, to tie the score. Pee Wee Wilson (1-1) was the beneficiary of the rally and picked up the pitching win.
Parks Field American’s Lewis Vaughan hit a solo homer and Chad Wood drilled a two-run shot. Andrew Purcell had a pair of hits for Parks Field American. Kenny Frank was the losing pitcher.
Surfside Beach 15, Gregg Park 2
Surfside Beach scored 13 runs in the fourth inning, highlighted by a grand slam from Trevor Bigham, to capture a victory over Gregg Park.
A two-run homer by Gregg Park’s Brandyn Quiller had knotted the score at 2-2 in the bottom of the third. Quiller finished with two hits.
Buck Bacot was the winning pitcher, while Joseph Whitt was the losing pitcher.
Bigham also had a double in the decisive inning where he hit the grand slam. Finn Melko was 3-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI.
North Myrtle Beach 9, Parks Field American 2
Garrison Gause went 2-for-2 with two runs scored, a double and a run batted in to lead North Myrtle Beach to a win over Parks Field American.
Michael Genovese was the winning pitcher, while rapping out an RBI single and scoring twice.
Tatum Rowland hit a run-scoring double for Parks Field American, while Owen Hutto added an RBI single. Parker Bass was the losing pitcher.
