Mullins High School basketball head coach Mark Gerald said he appreciates the help of a 50-member strong alumni basketball association.
The annual Mullins High School Alumni Basketball weekend celebration on July 3 featured basketball match-ups for local fans as three games were played as part of fundraising benefit for scholarship funding for students.
The event kicked off with a Lady Auctioneer basketball game, featuring former all-state players Jameka Vereen, Jessica Gerald, Sasha Reaves and Martina Smith. Three men’s games were played, as former Aucs, Lee Page, Johnny Streets, “Pee Wee” Davis, Albert Lewis, Henry Davis, Cedric Smith, Curtis Williams, Sherman Crosland, Teco Campbell, Lenzor Williams, Stacy Wilson, Steve Smith and
Seqwan McFarland were among the participants representing nearly 40 years of basketball.
“All of the games were good and everyone enjoyed themselves,” Gerald said.
The event also featured a golf tournament at Pineland Country Club and alumni cookout.

Not only does the Mullins Alumni Basketball Association showcase skills on the court, but participants show off their golf game.
