Durant struggles in Roughriders' loss

»  Comments | Post a Comment

REGINA, SaskatchewanDarian Durant had his worst game as a starting quarterback as Montreal defeated Saskatchewan 43-10 in CFL action Saturday.
It was the Roughriders first loss of the season.

The Florence native, who was 6-0 in his career as a starter, completed just 10 of 20 passes for 112 yards with one interception before being removed in the fourth quarter in favor of Steven Jyles.

The Roughriders committed six turnovers and were outscored 29-2 in the second half.

“We know we’re better than this.” Durant said after the game. “Give Montreal credit, but we feel we beat ourselves today. We felt as if we were in the game. If you take away the turnovers, it’s a different ball game. I think we can compete with anyone as long as we don’t beat ourselves.”
