Thursday nights this summer are swim meet nights at the Pepper Geddings Recreation Center.
A couple of hundred young people from 10 different teams in Horry and Georgetown Counties hit the water and the competition was fierce.
Swimmers from 5- 18 were in the pool in four main events -- freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly plus team relays.
The summer swim team meets run through the end of the month with the championship meet set for Aug. 1.
