Eight Lake City High School basketball players and one coach have earned postseason honors for Region VII-3A.
Boys head coach Willie Thomas was named the region’s coach of the year. He was also selected as head coach of the South team in the North/South Senior All-Star Game to be held March 21 at North Myrtle Beach High School.
Thomas led the Panthers, with a 10-0 region record, to the region title this season.
Corey Baker and Desmond Haygood were named to the first team All-Region. Jeremi’ McCrea and Dashawn Butler were selected for the second team.
Alisha Graham and Shanice Cooper were selected for the first team All-Region. Nakeisha Cooper was named to the second team, and Sherina Singletary was selected for the third team.
