CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) -- Clemson running back C.J. Spiller can add another honor to his growing list.
The school announced Thursday that Rivals.com has named the rising senior as college football's third most explosive player for the 2009 season.
Spiller led the Tigers with 1,770 all-purpose yards and 11 touchdowns last season. He holds 10 Clemson records, including the most touchdown plays in a career of 50 yards or more (12). He has six career touchdown plays of at least 80 yards, also a Clemson record.
Spiller announced last month he would return to the Tigers for his senior season, even though he said the draft advisory board had said he would be a likely first-round pick.
California tailback Jahvid Best and Dez Bryant, a wide receiver from Oklahoma State, were the top two players on the list.
