The Lake City Panthers got 33 first-quarter points and rolled to a 93-65 win over rival Kingstree on Friday in Lake City’s second blowout win of the week.
The win improved the Panthers’ overall record to 7-0.
DaShawn Butler led Lake City scorers with 21 points, while Domanic Wilson scored 14 and Shonquez Nelson added 14.
Earlier in the week, the Panthers hosted Vic Country from Victoria, Australia. The Panthers were anything but hospitable on the court, blowing past the Australian national select team 64-30. The Lake City defense held Vic Country to single-digit scoring in three of the four quarters.
Martin Cooper led Lake City with 16 points, and Butler added 14.
The Panthers will return to action at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday in the Pepsi Carolina Classic Tournament at West Florence High School.
