The countdown is over - the top ranked team going into the season is the Lake City Panthers.
Lake City has one of the best junior running backs in the country in Shon Carson, plus an offensive line that are all seniors, and have all started since they were sophomores. They also have a salty defense, that never allowed more than two touchdowns in a game in 2008. Then, there's the motivation of being kept out of the playoffs last year, and having to watch a team they beat win the state championship.
The Panthers have it all going into this year. It's up to them to take care of business.
