CONWAY – There was a scary moment at Coastal Carolina practice Tuesday.
Tight end Ben Collins laid motionless on the turf for 15 minutes after contact during a running play in an 11-on-11 rushing drill.
Collins was carried off the field on a stretcher and then was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
He was released at 7:30 after being diagnosed with a concussion.
He'll be held out of practice for at least a week.
Collins was competing with Michigan State transfer David Duran for the starting tight end spot.
