The Carolina Academy plays host to scrimmages

The Carolina Academy football team waits on the field Friday to begin its scrimmage.

The Carolina Academy tied its preseason game Friday, when the school played host to a scrimmage during which three other teams played.

The Carolina Academy head football coach and assistant athletic director Joe Lewis said Florence Christian School defeated Clarendon Hall 26-0.

Lewis said the game between The Carolina Academy Bobcats and St. John’s Academy resulted in a 0-0 tie. Lewis said he is anticipating a successful season and that the Bobcats have some good players this year.

The Carolina Academy officially begins its season this coming Friday at Colleton Prep.
