CHASKA, Minn. — Former Coker standout Mark Sheftic won’t be playing the weekend at the PGA Championship.
Sheftic fired a plus-6 78 Friday in the second round and is plus-10 after two rounds. The projected cut is at plus-3.
Sheftic had seven bogeys and a birdie on his round Friday.
It was Sheftic’s first-ever appearance in the PGA championship.
Sheftic earned a spot in the season’s last major on his first try when he tied for second in early July at the PGA Professional National Championship.
