Sheftic shoots 76 in first round of PGA Championship

CHASKA, Minn — Former Coker standout Mark Sheftic fired a plus-4 76 in the opening round of the PGA Championship.
Sheftic had four bogeys and 14 pars on his round and is tied for 111th when he finished.
Sheftic had back-to-back bogeys on No. 5 and No. 6 in his round.
Sheftic will tee off at 8:35 a.m. Friday with Will MacKenzie and Oliver Wilson.
Coastal Carolina's Dustin Johnson shot an even-par 72 and is tied for 26th.
