Mark Anderson used a solid putting game and some timely shots to claim the SCGA Amateur Championship by a six-shot
margin on the South Course at Berkeley Hall Plantation. Anderson finished at 16-under, 272 and was six shots better than Josh Gallman.
Lake City’s Tripp McAllister was the top finishing Pee Dee golfer at 3 under 285.
Other Pee dee golfers included Lake City’s Paul Woodbury (+2), Florence’s Bert Atkinson (+3), Francis Marion’s Chris Couch +7), Cheraw’s McCuen Elmore (+7), Coker’s Chris Marsh (+10), Hartsville’s Baxter Culler (+13), Kingstree’s Bill Smunk (+14) and Manning’s Renny Buddin (+21).
