Mark Anderson continued his strong play with a third round score of 5-under 67 and a tournament total of 202 to extend his lead in the SCGA’s Amateur Championship by four shots over first-round leader Josh Gallman.
Anderson came out of the gate strong making birdie on the first hole and continued with birdies on the fourth and seventh holes. Gallman shot a 68 on Saturday and is at 206.
Lake City’s Tripp McAllister shot a 2-uner 70 and is at 4-under, 10 shots back, while fellow Lake City native Paul Woodbury shot a 1-under and is 13 shots back.
Other golfers with Pee Dee ties include Florence native Bert Atkinson (219), Coker’s Chris Marsh (220), Cheraw’s McCuen Elmore (223), Hartsville’s Baxter Culler (223) and Manning’s Renny Buddin (229).
