With a second day score of 8-under 64, Beaufort’s Mark Anderson has taken a three-shot lead heading into the third round of the SCGA Amateur at Berkeley Hall Plantation.
The 23 year old former South Carolina golfer used 23 putts en route to an eight birdie and no bogey performance.
Lake City’s Tripp McAllister and Paul Woodbury lead the Pee Dee contingent. McAllister fired his second straight 71 and is seven shots back. Woodbury shot a 69 and is at 144. Other Pee Dee golfers include: Hartsville’s Baxter Culler (146), Florence native Bert Atkinson (148), Manning’s Renny Buddin (148) and Cheraw’s McCuen Elmore (149).
Greeleyville’s Mike Mahoney (157) and Florence’s Haynes Payne (159) didn’t make the cut.
